WHO I AM

My name is Simona De Caro, and I am a private chef and food content creator. As Xennials—those of us born in the early ‘80s—we embrace the evolving definitions of our roles, and I can confidently say that the future tastes delicious. Under the name MILLEPIATTI, I express and share my culinary vision and recipes, both here and on Instagram; it truly reflects my life’s work.

I was born in 1980 in sunny Palermo, Sicily, while Lucio Dalla sang “Balla, balla, ballerino.” I’ve danced “on the waves of the sea,” embarking on a journey that took me from Sicily to Milan, then to Rome, the Netherlands, and finally back to Italy.
